Submissions for Volume 2 close 05/17/2026!
Antenna (2025 - ???) is a collaborative zine situated within the niche subculture of denpa (a loosely defined aesthetic and thematic category associated with psychological unease, dissociation, and fragmented perception). As a self-published, community-driven work, Antenna exemplifies the long-standing tradition of zines as alternative publishing spaces that privilege experimentation, subcultural identity, and personal expression over formal cohesion or commercial viability.
Across its pages, contributors engage with recurring motifs such as isolation, obsession, and the instability of perception. These themes are not presented linearly or analytically but emerge through fragmented texts and disjointed imagery. As a result, the reader experiences denpa not as a concept to be understood, but as a state to be inhabited.
Thank you for your interest in submitting work to Antenna. Currently, anyone 18 years old or older can participate.

In the interest of maximizing included submissions and page space, I'm keeping the word count small (since non-fiction, reviews, interviews, poetry, etc. have historically had significantly lower word counts than creative writing submissions).
Please only submit comics that are four pages maximum.
All graphic design is handled by the editors. If you want your artwork or photo to take up an entire page, please follow the aforementioned page dimensions.
It's your work. Do with it whatever you please! :-)
